Nick the Potter

Unique One-off pieces and puzzle pots, inscribed and carved by hand. A lifetime of looking, modelling and making in clay.

01The work now
A finished sgraffito puzzle jug inscribed 'Than a little pot of sweet peas, they are lovely for myself'.

Puzzle Pots

Words held in clay.

My unique puzzle pots are thrown in red earthenware, coated in white slip and cut through by hand. Each pot is made once; commissioned words belong to their owner alone.

The finished hand-modelled Football Fan sculpture.

Delightful  Characters, built slowly.

When I need a change of scenery from making my beloved puzzle pots I make the odd character.  Some of them really are quite odd!
